Every commandment of the scripture is meant for our profiting. Every commandment of God is meant for our benefit. He gave the Israelites commandments for their profiting the Israelites. By redemption, we are connected to the Abrahamic covenant. “Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindred of the earth be blessed.” Acts.3:25 The covenant remain valid for you and I. When the Israelites did not obey the commandments, the Journey of forty days took them forty years to complete. Just like what is happening to many people today.
It is our entrance into the commandments that engender the release of the blessings. Churches of today need to begin to emphasize about our entrance into the commandments. When the word enters you and you do not jump or dive into the word via obedience, the covenant will not produce its potency. “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your ownself. For if any be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in is deeds.” James.1:22-25. Until you become a continuous covenant practitioner, the release of the blessings are out of view. Stop being on and off. You serve God today, tomorrow you are gone. You serve God last year, this year you are out. He is out when you are out. Stop being a partial covenant practitioner, one leg in, one leg out. There are so many believers who still have antidotes in under their pillow – this is even more cancerous – even Unbelievers are better off. Daniel who served God continually, remained relevant under the reign of several kings “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went to his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his kneels three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks, before His God as before times. So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the the Persian” Dan.6:10/28 . You can’t be a continuous doer or a continuous covenant practioner and not prosper after the order of Daniel. Your tomorrow’s decoration is determined by your today’s dedication.
The more input you made the more output you get. it is input-output truth. The more serving God in terms of strength, money, time, etc the more you blessings and rewards you get in return. “And thou shall love thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” Mark.12:30. It is to every man according to is ‘work’- Work implies that there is a work that must be done – “Behold I come quickly my rewards are with me to give everyone according to his work.” Rev.22:12.
Don’t be bigger than God, don’t ever be bigger than God. He lift the humble, He demotes the proud. Where God is taking you to is bigger than where you are. Your tomorrow is determined by the level of your obedience today. Anything can fail but obedience to scriptural instructions by putting all the commandments to work can never fail.
“And ye shall serve the lord your God, and He shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst if thee.” Ex.23:25.You are permitted to be barren; fruitfulness is not limited to the fruit of the womb, a person can be financially barren, a person can be academically barren, a person can be mentally barren; or a person can be success barren. As you plug into the idea of practicing covenant by obeying all the scriptural commands, every form of barrenness whether financially or academically, is turned into fruitfulness. Everyday will begin to become Christmas for you. No more dry season for you. You can’t serve God and be mentally derailed. Now, every dead brain should receive life.
You can’t serve God and be sick, your are not permitted to be sicked. Jesus has already took your pain and diseases on the cross. Mat.8:17. I don’t care what the doctor had named it, today mark an end to every form of sicknesses and diseases. What cannot be found in Jesus must not be found in you. Would it not make a news if an ambassador is deaf or dumb. “Now the we are ambassadors for Christ, as thou God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead be ye reconciled to God.” 2.Core.5:20. We are ambassadors of Heaven representing God’s interest here on earth – even our passports bear special mark – we are God intermediaries who reconcile the world back to God. As you key into the idea of obeying scriptural instructions tirelessly, every form of deformity still hanging over your life must come to an end today.
Nice piece.
