Our love for souls is the strongest proof of our love for God. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Jn.3:16. Love requires us paying the price with our time, money ,materials and other resources. Our love for God is demonstrated by our pursueth after lost souls, love is pulling others out of fire. “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire.” Jude.1:23. Paul was an addicted lover of Jesus. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword.” ROM.8:35.
Love is a choice, it is not a gift. Love is the covenant channel to the supernatural. “Jesus wept. And said the Jews, behold he love him” Jn.11:35-36. Love is the seal of the supernatural. My love requires only my vote for Christ, even if the entire world would not obey him, I’ll will continue to cast my vote for Christ by obeying him.
Characteristics of Love
1). Love never faileth – Every genuine lover of God live above failure. “Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there shall be tongues, they shall cease; whether their shall be knowledge, they shall vanish away.” 1.Cor.13:8.The last failure you saw in the pursueth of life will be the last you’ll ever saw.
2). True love makes a believer indestructible – Love makes a believer to live a divinity infused body. It is not unspiritual to be challenged, but it is unspiritual to be defeated. “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.” Dan.3:16-17.
The love for soul is the capital proof of our love for God, both on the prayer altar and by reaching out to the lost on the harvest field. “And the lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also God gave Job twice as much as he had before. So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she assess.” Job.42:10/12
This is beautiful.
