This post has been designed for those that will be great in 2019.
Onto the Post..
Greatness is not an ambition it is a birthright. Jesus Christ was sent to be great and so also He sent us.
“And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. [31] And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. [32] He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.” – Luke.1:30-33
By redemption, we have been qualified to partake of Abraham’s covenant of greatness through Jesus Christ.
“As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. [5] Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. [6] And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. [7] And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.” – Gen.17:4-7
“Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” – Gal.3:7/14
Our journey to greatness in life begins with Godliness. Take Job, Daniel and Joseph as case studies. Job who was the greatest of all the men in the east was testified by God that he hates sin and loves righteousness.
“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. [2] And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. [3] His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?” – Job.1:1-3/8
Moreover, the great state man, Daniel. He purposed in his heart to never defiled himself with the king’s meat, no wonder Daniel reigned in six kingdoms. The king worshipped Daniel and called him a god’s name as a result of his righteous living.
“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.” – Dan.1:8/20
In Dan.6:5, They couldn’t find anything against Daniel other than his God. Godliness is the master key to greatness
“Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.” – Dan.2:46
And wait a minute, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego would rather die than to bow for the golden image of the king. Joseph understood that his destiny would be tied down and flee fornication. Godliness is the key to divine favour. The master had no choice than to make Joseph the lord of all he had. Choose to be different! Don’t perish with the crowd. You can’t beat them by joining them.
“There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? [12] And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.” – Gen.39:9/12
