What are the benefits of Godly living?
(a). Access to fresh unction – the greater our access to oil the greater the impact. It takes a new bottle be filled with a new wine. It takes a new birth to scale a new height in a new year
“But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. [11] Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. [12] The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. [13] Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. [14] They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;” – Psalm.92:10-14
In the light of the scripture above, palm tree connotes “no more dry season” while cedar of Lebanon indicates “scaling new height”
(b). Sustainable prosperity – Godly living engenders sustainable prosperity. It requires Godliness to be prosper and to sustained the prosperity.
“And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. [4] Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord , as in the days of old, and as in former years.” – Mal.3:3-4
Hear this: your offerings become acceptable and preservable on the ground of Godliness.
“I will bring it forth, saith the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.” – Zech.5:4
If you steal and bring the offering to the church don’t ever think that God will accept it. There is a curse on those who steal for the act of stealing.
Friend, things start turning the day you turn. It’s never too late to turn. It’s wisdom to make a U-turn when you’re heading to a road that leads to the wrong way. Your greatness stops where your Godliness stops.
