The Law Of Seedtime And Harvest

The origin of this law can be traced to the book of Genesis chapter eight,

And the Lord smelled a sweet savor and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any momo more major imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done (vs.21)

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease (vs.22).

It’s impossible to harvest maize without planting corn. Ask any farmer. Kingdom Prosperity happens on the platform of the supernatural law of seedtime and harvest. Abraham walked with God, He knew the secret, God must have shown him. Solomon (the richest man who knew the secret. In Gibeon, he offered a thousand burnt offerings. All the men of old knew the secret. The Bible says,

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy (Psalm.126:5). He that gives bountifully shall reap bountifully he that gives sparingly shall reap sparingly (2. Cor.9:6).

It’s to every one according to what they give. Therefore, as long as heaven and earth exist, the law of seedtime and harvest holds. The validity of the law depends on the existence of heaven and earth. What can’t stop heaven and earth from existing can’t stop the workability of the law.

Blessed is the man that work not in the counsel of the ungodly nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful...(psalm.112:1-3)
Righteous is a requirement for supernatural wealth – mystery

Borrowing

Borrowing isn’t a sin but weight is a sin…..let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1).

Debt can kill faster than disease, some so many people die two times faster than they should as a result of indebtedness.

The Law Of Absolute Dependency

Anytime you borrow, you’re telling God “you are too slow for me.” Why shouldn’t I borrow it? (Someone may ask ), you have two eyes right? Can you let one look up and let the other look down at the same time? You can’t be looking at men and looking at God. This is the hardest principle of faith. Looking unto men as a source of help disqualifies you from God’s help because you think He can’t do it. Put your trust in God. You don’t need to know anybody to make things happen, you only need to know God.

He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man (Psalm.147:10).

And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits (Daniel .11:32).

Number two reason you shouldn’t borrow is that “a borrower is the servant of a lender” The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is an ant to the lender (Prov.22:7). Brethren, you’re not meant to live under financial bondage, the scripture says, you will lend to nations and you shall not borrow (Deu.28:12). The sad thing is that there are many Christians who still live on credit cards today (Whatever God cannot give me, may I not have it), thereby living in economic hardship.

  • What you don’t plant, you can’t reap.
  • It’s impossible to harvest maize without planting – that will amount to stealing.
  • Debt isn’t a sin but weight is a sin.
  • Debt kills people faster than their number of days.
  • The hardest principle of faith is the law of absolute dependency.
  • Looking up to men as an alternative source of help disqualifies you from lp from God.

Thanks for your time and please check out the third series by next week Monday at 7:00 PM (Nigeria time). God bless you.

  2. I hate the false prosperity gospel but I love God’s true prosperity! I love the verse where God tells us he knows the plans he has for us, good plan to prosper and not harm us, to give us a living hope and future.
