One of the advantages of vision is that you can’t have where you’re going and not package yourself to get there. That’s why, when they say your flight is on time, you’ll do everything you can to make it. You may even have to leave your food behind in order to make the flight. The flight of destiny is about to take off. Are you still stumbling around, folding your arms, doing nothing to demonstrate that you don’t want to miss the flight? Because Joseph had already seen himself on the throne, he knew Portiphar House was only a stopover. He packed himself dangerously to get where he was going.
Vision is intended for young people, not the elderly. According to the Bible, “your young men will see vision.” (Joel 2:28). Joseph began dreaming when he was seventeen years old. You are now in your twenties, thirties, and forties, and you have no idea what a dream is. You’re already behind schedule, so get on board. Jesus, at the age of twelve, already knew where he was going. He wasn’t a playboy. At the age of 12, people began to marvel at Jesus. Everything in life is a business. He knew he had to attend to his father’s business. In life, you’re either making profit or recording losses. You will go bankrupt if you do business with life.
“Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers” (Luke.2:46-47).
And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business? ” (Luke.2:49).
Action is a result of a vision. Ordinary wishes are what most people refer to as “visions.” Every true vision will always put the visionary on the run. According to the Prophet Jeremiah: Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, nor speak any more in His name.” But His word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not hold back” (Jeremiah.20:9).
To make the most of your life, you must present yourself as a visionary. Nelson Mandela, the epitome of a visionary, once declared, “One day, I will be president of this nation.” Despite the fact that he faced numerous challenges, his vision came true. Apartheid supporters once dug a hole for him and urinated on his head, but Mandela remained steadfast in his pursuit of his vision.
“It always seems impossible until it is done.” – Nelson Mandela
Challenges are stepping stones on the path to success. Being challenged is scriptural; being defeated is unscriptural. There is no challenged-free life. Don’t talk about problems; talk about solutions.
Vision is a lifetime experience. The vision continues until you exhale your last breath. But take note: early to rise, early to shine. The majority of Africans are late risers. You can’t enrol in a pilot school if you’re over the age of eighteen, and you can’t become a football star if you’re over the age of eighty. The time has passed. You can’t bend a dried fish. Certain things cannot be done again once the appropriate time has passed. This is your best opportunity to spend as much time as possible with God in order to build spiritual strength reserves for the future. With age, one’s energy levels decline.
Michael Dell founded Dell Corporation at the age of nineteen and retired as CEO at the age of forty. You don’t have a dream now that you’re forty.
You can be both an athlete and a doctor, but people will only remember you for one of them. Those who know where they belong and go there on time are referred to as stars. They say that a jack of all trades is a master of none. I believe that the major issue of our time is that most young people have no idea what they want to do with their lives. Young people are becoming involved in cybercrime in order to become richer in a short period of time. They are in a hurry. Young people are now pursuing paths that have nothing to do with their futures. They live by the vogue (fashion) of the day (they go after the profession that they heard that is reigning and generate the highest pay). Many young people are living their lives according to the law of chance – a shapeless, purposeless existence.
You can’t climb a tree from the top; a plane can’t take off without sufficient ground power, and stairs cannot be climbed from the top; they must be climbed from the ground floor.
“for the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: thought it tarry, wait for it: because it will surely come, it will not tarry” (Habakukk.2:3).
There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Weeping may last all night, but joy will come in the morning. The devil builds faster but more fragilely; God builds slowly but strong. Never give up if you are on the Lord’s side. Keep going. Most people give up before they reach their breakthrough. There is no shortcut to destiny; it is the Lord’s blessing that makes rich and adds no sorrow to it.
Finally, the vision must be written boldly, read daily, and communicated to all stakeholders so that everyone is on the same page.
