In today’s series of FAITH DIARY, I would be sharing with us about “Some Commandments Rooted In The Scripture.” Commandments are injunctions given by divinity to humanity solely for the benefit of humanity.
Praise is a commandment, an order or instruction given by God to humanity. It’s “Let everything that has breath praise the lord” (Psalm.150:6). You don’t need to have “bread ” before you acknowledge God with praises and thanksgiving. If you have ever lost anything God is the reason you have not lost everything.
Get this straight: If you’re not joyful you will be fretful. Praise isn’t something that you do spontaneously or when something gigantic has happened in your life. A Praise lifestyle is pathway into the manifestation of God’s presence (Acts.16:25). It’s God’s presence/aura that makes things happen in life – not you.
PRAYER AND FASTING
Prayer is a commandment. “When ye pray” (Mat.6:6). When signifies “period or time,” that means that there is a time that you must pray. Prayers are not meant for pastors alone. The bible says “All Men ought to pray and not to faint.” (Lk.18:1). Mark the word “All Men “- not all pastors that are supposed to live a lifestyle of prayer. 1Thessalonians. 5:17 says, Pray without ceasing.
Fasting is not an advice, neither an admonition. Fasting is a commandment. “When ye fast.” (Mat.6:17). There must be a time that you must fast. Until you are tired of blessings don’t be tired of fasting (Prayer and fasting has no expiry date). There are some certain mountains that will not give way until you fast.
Tithing is a commandment. Bring ye all tithe into my house that there may be meat(Mal.3:18). Where your tithe stops is where your blessing stops. Tithe provokes the release of supernatural provisions and also a divine covering (preservation) for your blessings.
In Summary, God is a commander. He basically operates on commandments- which are nonnegotiable. Our responsibility is to play our part of the deal and trust God to deliver His own part (Know that you can’t help God to deliver His part). Understand that God is ever faithful than you and i. He is not a man that should lie (Num.23:19). He has integrity! His integrity will be at stake if you obey Him and don’t have results to show – results are the cardinal proofs of genuine obedience. God does not speaks empty word.
