Financial Empowerment answers to our subscriptions to the covenant platform of seed and harvest time (see Gen.8:22).
Genesis 8:22 KJV
“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”
You don’t expect the harvest of a maize without planting a corn. Seed time will always precedes harvest time any day, anywhere and anytime.
Get this straight: there is no prayer and fasting for financial empowerment, even the numbers of years that you have spent in church and religious activities do not count here (don’t be religious be real – the Jew people were very religious people but they still went into captivity). If you’re not an excited giver you will die poor irrespective of your involvement in church activisms (Jn.6:38)
Luke 6:38 KJV
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
3 pathways to financial empowerment
Starting from the rear..
NUMBER 3:- DISCIPLINE
Discipline is a subject matter that is critical in any field of life. Discipline is to give what it demands in order to accomplish a given task. It’s going beyond your best in order to complete an assignment. Whatsoever Jesus tells you to do might not be convenient or comfortable but that is what it takes to experience your financial breakthrough in this season and beyond (see: Jn.2:5).
John 2:5 KJV
“His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.”
Wait a minute: there is no record breaker in his comfort zone. Breaking record demands stretching out of your comfort zones and going extra miles in order to accomplish a specific task (both spiritual and physical).
NUMBER 2:- FAITH
I have said it before that you can’t move God until your faith is alive (see:Heb.11:6)
Hebrews 11:6 KJV
“But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
As you’re obeying the injunctions of the scripture concerning seed and harvest time also exercise faith (let your engagement be mixed with faith). This is how it works.
Allows what you think and say fall inline with want you believe (see prov.18:21 & Prov.23:7)
Proverbs 18:21 KJV
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Proverbs 23:7 KJV
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.”
Have you ever noticed that what you believe affects your language? (To answer that, you can leave us a reply in the comment box). You are what you think. Let there be a casting down of all mind debris and negative orientations. Repent from negative perspectives and give up the impossibility syndrome ( see: Mat.19:26, Lk.18:27, Mark.10:27, Jer. 29:11)
Matthew 19:26 KJV
“But Jesus beheld them , and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
NUMBER 1:- OBEDIENCE
I have said this also on many occasions that OBEDIENCE works! God has promised to give you the empowerment for financial fortune but you must first acknowledge Him as the source and one behind it (your wealth and riches; income and profits).
Your tithe is the tenth part of your gains, income, gross salary, and revenue. So, you will need to acknowledge Him with your tithe (See:Deu.8:18).
Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV
“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
Things are tight for those who eat their tithes (see: Mal.3:7-11 & Haggai.1:6)
Malachi 3:7-11 KJV
“Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them . Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? [8] Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. [9] Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. [10] Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it . [11] And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.”
Haggai 1:6 KJV
“Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.”
You must be responsible, avoiding responsibilities and living as liabilities are one and the same. “Your tomorrow is determined by the level of your OBEDIENCE today. You can’t be dedicated today and not be decorated tomorrow” (SEE:Phil.2:10-13, Deu.28:1-3)
The following giving platforms also have their roots in the scripture:
Worship offering (see: Ex.23:15)
Giving to the poor/needy (see:psalm.41:1)
Kingdom advancement project & sacrificial offerings (Haggai.1:12-14)
Finally, hold onto this point: any seed that you sow as a donation is a waste ; your seed is not a donation; it’s a spiritual transaction between you and God(humanity and divinity). God uses your seed in order to meet your need.
