Don’t ever accumulate your wealth illegitimately. Wisdom says, hard work will make you rich while laziness will make you poor. Wisdom is a mother of poverty.
We are in a generation of lazy people, people who want to ride big cars but they don’t want to work – prominent in this country – this has led to killings and shedding of the innocent bloods across the globe.
We have seen a case where some students were so desperate to eat excreta and slaughter their female counterpart like a ram in the name of getting rich. These students are so pathetic to discover that the herbalist who ordered them to carryout the act could not use the charm to get out from poverty himself. So many youth on our campus have entered into occultism with the hope of becoming rich and ending up loosing their lives at the end.
Go and learn something. Learn a skill. Learn Tailoring, barbing, cake baking, make up, fashion designing or any other vocation. Get equipped with an apprenticeship. God blesses you with the work of your hand. Don’t come to God with empty basket of no work.
Prosperity answers to value addition, discipline and capacity building, these are what we are talking about, they are what make financial freedom come to be. Obey God’s commandment by paying your thite and offerings. You must discipline yourself to the point of paying thite continuously. The first America billionaire, John D. Rockfeller was a thither.
Let everyone suffering in the house of the lord count on you. Get involved in kingdom promotion projects. Build a synagogue for Christ. You can serve God with your money by printing tracts and fliers. Promote the God’s kingdom financially.
When you do all these, poverty will no longer become your neighbour. Wealth you don’t work for will be of no value to you. This explains why many gamblers and ‘Yahoo boys‘ squander their money lavishly.
Financial prosperity answers to the covenant of seed time and harvest. You don’t expect the harvest of a maize without planting a corn. If you try to harvest a crop in another person farmland: If he catches you, your case will be worse than ‘Fulani herdsmen’.
Seedtime precedes harvest time. “But thou shall remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which sware into thy fathers.” Deu.8:18.
If you have witness a jungle justice before in Nigeria, you pity those who are practicing armed robbery: If you see the way they do beat these perpetrators and in most cases they will roll tyre on their necks and burn them off. Moreover, the way SARS handle ‘Yahoo boys’, you will pity parents of these guys.
Don’t be a foolish boy, your parents sent you to school to make a better future, and you are spending your 4years on campus aimlessly. Don’t be a foolish girl by becoming an ‘aristole’ (prostitute) in school. Most destinies have been used by ‘Sugar daddies’ for rituals of wealth.
Live right! It always pays to live right. You are meant to focus on your academics. Commit yourself to God by obeying all his commandments, read your books and study well. Excel in all of your exams and come out in flying colours. In the end try as much possible to graduate with good acceptable certificate.
There is nothing as sweet as success. A Failed life is not a life, life is a lifetime; what are we going to remember you for when you were gone? By obeying God, you are storing up a glorious future for you and your children – generation yet unborn – “To obey is better than sacrifice, to hearken than the fat of ram.” 1.Sam.15:22. Your children and children’s children will not stop thanking you for living right today.
