Engaging the cost of kingdom claim. A post that reveals the birth rights of believers and practical cost for claiming them. First series described the birth rights of believers in Christ. Just incase you missed the first series, you can head over here to read.
What Are The Cost For Kingdom Claims?
(1). Cost Of Obedience.
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: (Deuteronomy.28:1).
Where your Obedience stops is where your kingdom claim stops. Take responsibility to collect your birth rights from your parent (God). Obedience is the pathway to supernatural enthronement, you cannot be dedicated today and not be decorated tomorrow.
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (Philippians. 2:6-10).
Anything can fail but obedience to scriptural injunctions can never fail. Obedience is the pathway to all the blessings of God (Deut.28:1-3).
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein , he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (James.1:25).
(2). Cost of sacrifice. It works! It takes a sacrificial approach to get God committed to your affairs. The altar of sacrifice is the altar of sworn blessings.
And Noah builded an altar unto the Lord ; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done (Genesis.8:20-21).
And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord , for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son : That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;(Genesis.22:16-17).
There is no blessings without a BECAUSE. There is always a because to every breakthrough. Because Obededom harboured the ark of God and all that pertain to him was affected.
And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household (2.Samuel.6:11).
Because Abraham did not withhold his long-awaited son, Isaac, from God, he became a generational reference of supernatural blessings. Today, from Abraham’s blessings, we are blessed by connecting through Jesus.
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians. 3:14).
Don’t mistake light for luck. Are you saying that everybody is lucky? Why are you not lucky? There are no lucky men; there are lighted men. If you give your life to a chance, you don’t have a chance.
There is nothing of value that is for free. There is no free launch in life. You must pay the price to make the mark.
The law of seed and harvest time, giving and receiving is the gateway to supernatural prosperity. You can’t pray for it neither you can fast for it. Understand this: If you’re not a delightful giver you would die as a pauper. God’s prosperity is not a promise, it’s a covenant. It does not answer to prayer and fasting, it answers to giving. Until your part is played, don’t expect God to play His part.
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day(Deuteronomy.8:18).
(3). Cost Of Righteousness. Where your righteousness stops is where your greatness stops. Because Joseph already saw himself on the throne, he would not allow his destiny to be tied down in the house of Portiphar. He knew where he was going, so he packaged himself dangerously. He knew that portiphar house was only a passage to his place of destiny. Even in the prison, he was like a reigning king in his mind. You can’t have where you’re going and not package yourself dangerously to get there. Joseph’s righteousness brought supernatural favour over his life.
And she caught him by his garmet, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out (Genesis.39:12).
And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand (Genesis. 39:4)
What about Daniel? he would rather die than to defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat. The scripture says they found no occasion against Daniel expect against his God. Daniel was and upright and perfect man.
As a result, Daniel reigned with kings (he reigned in the era of king Darius, Cyrus, Nebuchadnezzar, Johoiakim, Belshazzar of Babylon and Nabonidas of Babylon. An upright man will always be relevant).
Jesus was sent to be great (Luke.1:32). As Jesus was sent to be great, so He sent YOU (John.20:21). Your journey to greatness begins with righteousness. Godly living will set you on a pedestal of enthronement any day, any time, any where.
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself (Daniel.1:8).
And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm (Daniel.1:20).
(4). Cost Of Service. Whether you’re serving God on the prayer altar (Mathew.6:6) or on the harvest feed (John.15:16), serving God guarantees your access to supernatural health and prosperity. It secures your access to a sickness free life.
And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day (Luke.2:37).
At 84, Hannah served God with prayer and fasting in the temple. Prayer labour (a lifestyle of kingdom advancement prayer) guarantees long life with good old age.
And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil (Exodus.23:25-26).
If they obey and serve him , they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures (Job 36:11).
(5). Cost Of Faith. It works like fire! Let your engagement be mixed with faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews.11:6). Faith is not waiting. A car parked is a risk. You don’t wait or wish for it, you work at it. It’s putting God’s word into work or stepping into the demands for your breakthrough.
Nevertheless, your faith is fake without proofs. Because God will never leave you without a proof. Faith is the EVIDENCE of things not seen (Hebrew. 11:1b).
The cheapest way to provoke the release of divine intervention that causes God to take over your battle and collect your inheritance from the devil contending against it is FAITH. Fight the good fight of faith (1.Tim.6:12). And when God take over your battle is over.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John.10:10).
If we don’t live by principles we are heading for troubles. The basic principle of faith states that your thoughts should align with your words and your acts (Joshua.1:8).
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Proverbs.18:21).
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee (Proverbs.23:7).
Friend, loose yourself from the shackles of darkness and embrace the truth. The 5 costs to kingdom claims are:
- Cost of obedience
- Cost of sacrifice
- Cost of righteousness
- Cost of service
- Cost of faith
