Life is a battlefield. It’s a fighting ground where the enemy has been ordained to loose. Life is primarily a contest between good and evil. Between life and death; success and failure; Health and Sickness; etc.
Our major opposition here on earth is the devil. What is going on in life is that we are fighting with the devil in order to collect our inheritance. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (Jn.10:10).
There are many people who have not been experiencing any progress in their lives since the day they were born. It’s not their fault. There is a force behind it. Until you put up a fight against the enemy (Devil) to collect your birthright from your parents (God) don’t expect a change. Your progress and success in life will be farfetched.
The bible says, “Fight the good fight of faith (1Tim.6:12).”
The devil is not a fairy tale. He is not a fantasy neither a drama. The devil is real. There is a principality in every locality. The devil does not respect your age, colour, position, status or location. Every natural man is prone to an attack from the wicked (Devil).
You better take the shield of faith to return back to the sender every arrow targeted at you by the wicked.
“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Eph.6:16).”
How can one put up a fight?
There is nothing physical in life’s battle. The battle of life is spiritual which can only be fought and won by engaging in a spiritual warfare.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph.6:12).”
The Spiritual Warfare, “Praise”: Why Praise?
When it comes to fighting battles in life, many people talk about prayer but only few are aware about PRAISE.
For so many years until now, many preachers have been preaching so much about prayer as the spiritual tool for fighting battle but placed little or no premium on praise. Praise has always been preached as minor, as a subsidiary. Friend, may I tell you this, praise is a MAJOR when it comes to the battle of life.
This battle is not yours. Transfer it unto the Lord by getting into praise. Hold your peace and stand still.
” And when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Among, Moab, and Mount Seir, which were come against Judah, and they were smitten (2 Chro.20:22).”
Hold your position in praise. You are a spectator in this battle. You can’t get into a praise warfare and miss out divine intervention. The wall of Jericho came down flat at the instance of praise. Paul and Silas who were locked in the prison brought down God’s presence in the middle of praise.
“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God; and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake. So that the foundation of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed (Acts 16:25).”
The devil who has been holding you in captive inside his dungeon can be defeated like a child play only if you can enter into praise.
Many people, even Christians are inside prisons today. But the last thing they will do is to get into praise.
Understand this, those who work hard and get little results are in the company of those who have not added praise to there efforts. Appreciation equals multiplication (Jer. 30:19)
I have seen so many frustrated prayer warriors before. But, I have never seen a praise warrior been frustrated. You can’t praise God with understanding and be stranded in life (Jn.6:6).
Hear this, a praiseful atmosphere is a ‘Godful’ atmosphere. A ‘Godful’ atmosphere is a wonderful atmosphere.
“Who is like unto thee, O Lord , among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?(Ex.15:11).”
God still works WONDERS in praise.
If you want to seek God, pray. If you want to see God, praise Him. It’s my prayer as you get into praise with understanding you will practically see my God in actions.
