Light: Discovering the Road to Freedom

One’s life cannot be more beautiful than the quality of his light. In the kingdom, there are no lucky men, but lighted men. It’s therefore important to know where to get light, how to get it, and why to get it because the only language understood by the devil and his cohorts is light, not grammar. This is vital for everyone no matter where you live because there is a principality in every locality.

What is light?

Light simply means knowledge and darkness means ignorance. The Latin word for light is ignorantia which means knowledge while the French meaning of darkness is ignorance. Light could also mean information or details while darkness is a lack of it.

Light is revelations, supplied by the Holy Spirit, driven by the quality of information acquired from the bible and other spiritual sources.

Darkness and light cannot coexist, they cannot stay in the same room at the same time. The moment you turn on the light in your room, darkness has no choice but to bow out. Darkness does not struggle with light any day anytime.

How Can You Get Light?

a). The most reliable source of light is God Himself. The word of God says that: “God is light, in Him is no darkness at all.” ~ 1 Jhn 1:5. Darkness also represents stagnation, frustration, and confusion while light represents revelation, illumination, and freedom. Are you tired of life or confused? Are you currently at your crossroad? Is your business going through ups and downs that have caused you to be depressed? Or you’ve been stagnated in one position for a long time?

God says there is a way out. All these are the end products of darkness. Give your life to Jesus, the only way or access to God, and commit to His ways. Because you can’t be in God (light) and be in the devil (darkness) and no middle way in between. “You cannot serve God and mammon.” ~ Matt 6:24

b). You can receive light from the light of others. Light is light, it does not matter where you get it from. For instance, I got my light through the light of Bishop Oyedepo, Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa, and Myles Munroe. Bishop Oyedepo in turn got his light from Kenneth Haggain, and Kenneth Copeland, to mention a few. In essence, look for a life coach. Staying on the shoulders of the elders will help you to see afar. “For with you is a fountain of life, In your light we see light.” Psm 36:9

c). You can get light by studying and meditating on the word of God. The word of God is the carrier of light, it’s the incoming of the word that sparks off the light in full glow. “..The entrance of the word giveth light and giveth understanding to the simple.” Psm 119:130. This means that anything that takes you far away from the word of God destroys you. Because the more you are far from the word the more you’re in darkness.

Sadly, most people are too busy doing nothing and going nowhere to pay attention to the word of God. Listen: the devil knows that when you have access to the word of God you are free from his dungeon, therefore, he would go the extra mile to block your access to it. ‘Word bankruptcy’ is the reason behind the ordeal that most people face in life.

Likewise, the devil makes the word of God look too simple to believe. But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. ~ 2 Cor 11:3. I am not surprised when some people read the messages on this blog and do not practice them because they (the messages) look stupid and simple to believe.

Understand this, most words from God are laughable. They needed wine, He told them to fill the pots with water. That look stupid but that was the way out. Someone is barren and is told to sing praise and give thanks as a lifestyle. That’s too simple to believe. The simplicity of the word of God is the solution to life’s complexity. The word of God offers multi-purpose solutions to all the problems of life. Use it to your advantage.

You can receive light by listening to messages and podcasts. You can get light by reading spiritual contents on blogs, books, etc.

Sometimes ago, Kenneth Haggain was bedridden for years, one day he was reading the bible, he was in Mark 11:23,

“For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

He received the word in his heart (not into his head), light dawned from heaven, he stood from his wheelchair and took his healing by force.

Your long list of prayer points without light equals zero. You are rated in God’s sight by your light level. It’s your scriptural know-how that determines your victory. Knowledge is the key to freedom. The Bible says, “You shall know the truth and you shall be free.” ~ Jhn 8:32. Make a book project: how many spiritual books will you read this year? Maybe one per month, based on your budget? Listen to tapes of anointed men of God: this has helped me a lot and is one of the reasons I can show light to others. You could do this on your way to or from work, especially when you are stuck in traffic, instead of complaining maximize the time to invest and edify your spirit.

You are in your current position because your light is yet to gain divine approval. Paul understood this secret and that was why he told his ministry son, Timothy to: study to show himself approved. ~ 2 Tim 2:15. The great statesman, Daniel understood by books. Jesus, our perfect example, maintained a reading culture during his earthly ministry. If things are yet to work in any aspect of your life, for example, in marriage, business, or career, look out for those who have gone ahead of you in that area, get their materials, and try to find out what they did that make them successful. Apply your discoveries with faith and things will work.

In conclusion of the whole matter, embrace the truth and you’ll be free.
