God Is A Commander
By nature, God basically operates on commandments which are not meant for your punishment but ‘polishment‘ (1.John.5:3).
And it shall come to pass, if thou shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth (Deu.28:1).
However, it remains your sole responsibility to obey these injunctions issued by God, you don’t have to negotiate with Him but to follow what Jesus’ mother said.His mother saith unto the servants, whatsoever he saith unto you, do it (John.2:5)
Let do it becomes your motto. Do it even if it might looks stupid – Whether it’s convenient or inconvenient, do it (in most cases, what God will tell you to do will look stupid, they needed wine, Jesus asked them to bring water). Faith is a doing force (James.1:22-25).
Wisdom is an applied knowledge, knowing what to do and doing it.
God is rich, heaven is made of gold. To have a poverty mentality, live a begging and borrowing lifestyle aren’t God’s plans for you. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. (Haggai.2:8).
As a genuine covenant child of God, who lives according to His laws and precepts, you’re an entity of envy (not meant to be pitied). You’re a center of attraction.
For he had a possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and a great store of servants and the philistine envied him (Gen.26:14)
God is a rewarder
All rewards of services are receivable but to receive them, your faith must be thrown inline (Heb.11:6). Understand this, you’re not serving God for nothing but for something. Be expectant!
I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right. (Isaiah 45:19)
Serving God isn’t a waste of time and doesn’t decrease people. Every opportunity to serve God is an opportunity to get blessed. Nothing remains worse serving God. Carry a reward mentality in your covenant walk with God.
But one more important thing you need to know is that, God doesn’t bless group neither does he promotes group; He blesses and promotes individual. It’s to every man and woman according to his/her work. Therefore, let your engagement towards advancing the kingdom be highly personal.
And behold, I come quickly; and my rewards are with me; to give every man according to his work shall be (Rev.22:12).
Don’t blame God, government, parents, family, friend, spouse or anybody for your predicament; blame yourself and hold yourself responsible for the outcome of your life.
God Is A Covenant Keeping God
Don’t question God, question yourself. God is faithful than you and I. Unlike God, a mortal man can promise to give you a job today and fail tomorrow. The help that comes from a man is prone to failure but God has integrity at fulfilling His promises; He doesn’t speaks empty words.
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it ? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19)
God Is A ‘Giver-Lover’
All lovers are givers. The surest way to proof your love to someone is to give. For God so live the world and He gave…(John.3:16).Life is not about what you take but what you give. David loved God & gave billion worth of gold to construct the temple that Solomon built.
Solomons loved God, He didn’t only offered the largest burnt offerings in history, but also started and completed the construction of the temple of God and as a result God blessed Solomon that even the blind could see.
If you don’t want to die poor, you better start making giving your lifestyle. Let giving become a thing of a delight to you, If you don’t want to live under a curse.
I discovered something that scared me in the book of Deuteronomy. 28, you’re not cursed just because you’re not giving but also because you’re not giving with joy.
Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of thy things. Therefore shall thou serve thine enemies which the lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things… (Vs.47-48).
