I would like us to know that there is nothing theoretical about Christianity. Christianity is practical, it is not theoretical. It is not about preaching it, it is about doing it. Deu.28:1-3. The devil can preach. It is your entrance into the commands of the scripture that works. It is when you key yourself into scriptural instructions that cause the release if the blessings. James.1:22-25, Deu.28:1-3.
For instance, serving God guarantees your totoal freedom from all sickness and afflictions of the devil. Ex.23:25. But, in order to actualize it you must put the word to work. Because, you can quote an hundred of scriptures per second doesn’t implies that the word of God has gained entrance into you. God primarily operates on commandments which are not negotiable.
And all scriptural commandments are meant for our profiting. God has not commanded us in order to grieve us, God has commanded us in order to bless us. 1Jn.5:3. Those who think that Christianity is a passive religion are still under strong illusion. You must take responsibility tirelessly and in order for the blessings to be manifested. You must maintain your stand both when it is raining and when it is sunning. Hab.3:17.
Prayer is a commandment. ‘When’ you pray Mat. 6:9. and it attract open rewards. “All men ought to pray and not to faint.” Lk.18:1. “Pray without ceasing.” 1Thess.1:17.
Fasting is a commandment.” ‘When’ you fast.” Mat.6:17 and its attract open rewards. “Is this not the fast I have chosen to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?.” Is.58:6.There some perpetual hills that won’t move until you fast.
Praise is a commandment. “Let everything that hath breath praise the lord.” PS. 150:6. God does not owe you anything, you owe God praise. You slept and woke up because of Him. God not created us to meditate on our problems, He has created us to obey Him.
You must obey your father (God) in order to get anything from them. Continuous obedience is the golden rule for the release of all scriptural blessings and rewards “Who so looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continue there in; he not be a forgetful hearer but a doer of the ‘work’, this man will be blessed in his deeds.” James.1:25. This means there is a ‘work’ that must be done continually before the blessings can be unleashed. You are responsible for the outcome of your life. If you don’t take “responsibility, you become a life time ‘liability’.” If you don’t appreciate God for what he has done today, you will soon depreciate with time.
If you wait for God to do something spectacular for you before you obey Him, you wait till eternity. You have to work it out. Let mockers mocked you, they are coming back to join you when the the supernatural starts manifesting in your life.
Soul winning is a commandment and it rewards are answered prayers. Ye have not chosen me but i have chosen you and ordained you to bring forth fruit that your fruit should remain, whatsoever you ask in my name that i will give them unto you. Jn. 15:16.
Your tomorrow is determined by the level of your obedience today. “You can’t be dedicated today and not be decorated tomorrow.” Phil.2:8-11.
However, make serving God your lifestyle. Do it everyday. Everyday is the lord’s day. Don’t be too busy to pray. If you want to continue to hear from God, then you must maintain closed proximity with Him.
Finally, God has integrity. Until you stop obeying Him by keying yourself into the idea of continuous and tireless obedience, He won’t leave you to fend for yourself. “God is not a man that He should lie, neither the son of man that He should repent.”Num.23:19
