Journey To Greatness

Greatness is our birthright in Christ. We are redeemed to be great. Jesus was sent to be great. And he has also sent us to be great.

“And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great…” (Luke.1:31-32).

“So, Jesus said to them, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” (John.20:21).

If greatness is our heritage in Christ, then how can we walk in its reality?

What Makes for Greatness?

Meekness. Your level of meekness cannot supersede your level of greatness. Moses was the meekest man on earth (Numbers.12:3). The meekest Moses was the greatest in the land (Exodus 11:3).

And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharoah’s servants and in the sight of the people (Ex.11:3).

For instance, David was serving when they called him to become king. Some too many arrogant people cannot serve their way to the top.

The fear of God. Your journey to greatness begins with godliness. For instance, Joseph feared God, and he became great. Daniel would rather die than defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat (Daniel 2:8). As a result, he was influential in six kingdoms. No one fears God and become irrelevant. Your relevance is a function of your godly living. Job was a man who hated evil and loved good. He was an upright man. God and the devil testified to his uprightness. As a result, he was the greatest man in the land of Uz (Job.1:1-3). He owned the largest business of his time, and he experienced all-round fruitfulness.

What Are The Benefits of Fearing God?

Divine secrets. The psalmist says that the secret of the Lord is with those that fear him (Psalm.25:14). Job says “as I was in the days of my youth when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle.” (Job.29:4). We have the mind of Christ by fearing him. God only entrusts his secrets to those who fear him. Revelation is one of our greatest assets in the kingdom. Manifestation is a function of revelation.

Divine Prosperity. Ungodliness is one of the surest ways to get into poverty. On the other hand, righteousness is the gateway to transgenerational wealth. The blessing of the righteous does not stop with the righteous, but it covers his children. (Psalm. 112:1-3).

“Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in His commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever. (Psalm.112:3)

All-round fruitfulness. Fruitfulness is not limited to the fruit of the womb. Someone can be barren financially. The master key to business breakthrough is righteousness (Psalm 92:12). If nothing is working in your business, check the level of your righteousness. One of the cheapest ways to end ups and downs in business is to take up righteous living.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law doth he meditates day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” (Psalm.1:1-3)

Divine well-being. Health is wealth. Righteousness promotes good health, which promotes wealth. To achieve big things in life, you must have good health and strength. To carry out exploits, you don’t need to know any mortal man. Exploits are something that no one’s eyes or ears have ever seen or heard before (1. Corinthians.2:9). Recording-breaking experience is the hallmark of exploits.

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel.11:32).

In Christ, exploits are your birthright. Longevity is associated with good health and strength. The fear of God makes you appear younger than your actual age. It ensures long life and good old age. Life is a choice, and disobedience makes you seem ugly, battered, and wretched. The aces are in your hands.

You were born to be great in the same way that Jesus was sent to be great. Before you can be a part of this greatness, you must first become a member of the great family. Change your biological ancestors to Christ’s family, where poverty, sickness, and disease have no place. Accept and declare Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Join in a bible-believing church. By observing God’s commands, you can strengthen your faith.
