Never Give Up

never-give-up

If people do not mock you; God cannot make you, we serve a God that turns nonentities into celebrities (Peter and others were uneducated but people took notice of them), and we serve a God that turns ordinary men into extraordinary men. Never listen to what they say, never allow their negative talks to haunt you and hold you back. They said you’ll never make it in life, you’re a failure (lies). God has the final say: Paul was on his way to Damascus to persecute Christians, and all the necessary documents had been signed before God arrested him and turned the rascal into an asset.

God turns the sons of nobody to somebody, very soon, those who say “who are you?” Will ask “how are you?” Stop listening to what the WORLD says, start haunting what the WORD says. The world may have facts but the word is the truth. And truths are superior to facts, facts are prone to failure but the truth can never fail. Keep obeying His commandments and believe.
When men are cast down, then thou shall say, there is lifting.” – Job 22:29

God will make you a topic of discussion, a center of attraction, no matter the opinions of people concerning you, follow your gut (conscience), chase your dream, and pursue your aspirations (don’t follow traditions). “Do not be conformed to this world.” Everyone is ‘jobbing‘ and you know that your true passion is business, forget about the traditions and chase after your dreams and vision, vision attracts provisions and you’ll become employers of labor by trusting God (vision attracts favor, people give to the vision, not the visionary). Don’t look for money look for a vision.

You don’t need to know somebody (a mortal man) to succeed in life, you only need to know God (Daniel 11:32), God is not after the legs of men because people are not reliable – only God can be trusted.

Your destiny in Christ is envious (Genesis 26:12-14), stop looking pitied, you’re wonderfully made in Christ, no matter what they said about you (your color, stature, or financial status), you’re the masterpiece of the maker, there is no difference between black and white, or whether you are yellow, brown, tan, you’ve equal right in Christ. We’re a people of equal destiny, the gospel of Christ is universal, whether you belong to the first world or third world, Jesus is for you and your destiny is glorious (Romans 8:29-30), we own the world together, you’re significant, you’re not a mistake.

Do not allow what your teacher, parents, guidance, siblings, or spouse said to hold you back in life, only what He says is valid.

Keep pressing, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel, weeping is not permitted to go beyond a night, never give up, your breakthrough will artive. God has integrity, He is more faithful than you and me, as long as you’re demonstrating your faith in Him by obeying all His commandments, He will keep His covenant, the fact that you’re putting the word of God to work shows that you believe Him and your faith will deliver, all your secret tears will engender open rewards.

Don’t be afraid to identify with Jesus, It’s foolishness to be shameful of what is gainful, He denies people who could not identify with Him openly. Reach out to your friends, and family and tell them about Jesus today and He will answer your prayer.

Everything You Need To Know About EXPECTATIONS

Be expectant

Many Christians come to God with little or no expectations while some think if they expect big things from God, He won’t be able to do it- this used to happen to me in the time past, then, I had no results to show for serving God, poverty and failure were my neighbours.

But when I changed my mentality by adding expectations to my efforts, I can see the results coming y way, I’m now entering into a new phase where I will no longer know the address of poverty again.

Having a list of your expectations is not a bad idea. My current ‘parent’s expectations’ are progress and success while my ‘children’s expectations’ are blissful marriage in 3 months time, financial fortune in less than 1 month time, miracle jobs, contracts and business start-up in less than 1 month time.

God doesn’t take assumptions, we need to be specific with our expectations. Make your expectations straight to the point.

Let me share this scripture with you,

And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. [30] And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. [31] And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. [32] And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? [33] They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. [34] So Jesus had compassion on them , and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him. (Mathew. 20:29-30).

Let me explain,

these blind men were crying for mercy, and Jesus heard them but their requests were vague. That was why Jesus asked them in (vs 32), ‘what do you want me to do for you?’ What Jesus was actually saying is that “be specific,“go straight to the point.”

If you are the type who come to Jesus without expectations as from today go and write down your expectations. You don’t have to write down a three pages expectations list before you receive answers from God. Just write down the specific things that you are expecting from God.

Is Having Expectations Biblical?

Yes. It is very very much scriptural. I will be sharing with you these two scriptures to back up your expectations:

  1. Proverbs 23:18 KJV (For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off). That scripture is assuring us that there will always be a light in the end of the tunnel. No matter how far or delay it may seem, understand that there is no weeping that is permitted to go beyond a night. “weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.” The real emphasis of this scripture is that you should not give up on your expectations no matter what is going on in the world around you, circumstances and conditions notwithstanding, Keep pressing in, pressing on and pressing through. God will always reward the work of diligence any day anytime any where (serving God is universal), though it may tarry (taking some times, even years) but it will surely come to pass.
  2. Jeremiah 29:11 KJV – (For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end). That second scripture is also saying something similar. But it mostly emphasize on the way God think. I know it sounds strange to some of you that God think. Yes, God do think and He think positively. Now, this is where you must be sensitive to what comes across your mind. Negatives thoughts are ‘by-products’ of the devil (Further discussion about the mind and imagination will require some other blog posts. But I can link you up with my previous post here).

Friend, loose yourself from the shackles of ignorance and embrace the truth for a change of story. As you are obeying God’s commandments as a lifestyle, also try to be expectant. Let your expectations be anchored on the promises of God (see Deu 28). Many receive nothing because they expect nothing. Very simple.
