In business terms, partnership is a specific kind of legal relationship formed by the agreement of two or more individuals to carry on a business as a co-onwers.
From this definition, I want us take note of the following key words:
Legal relationship, agreement, two or more individuals.
To have a successful business, there must be legal relationship between the two parties, this simply means that we must have a genuine relationship with God.
Because, with our own understanding or efforts we can’t finish the race successfully.
At this point, I want to ask you as an individual that, who do you have legal agreement with? Satan or God?(submit your answer in the comment box).
When look at the word agreement, that means we must have a personal conviction of whom will surrender our totality to.
According the book of 2 Corinthians 8:23 which states that: Whether [any do enquire] of Titus, [he is] my partner and fellow helper concerning you: or our brethren [be enquired of, they are] the messengers of the churches, [and] the glory of Christ.
We could see here that, naturally and spiritually you and I need a partner Who can be of help to us always.
The partner am talking about could be your brother, sister, mother, father or even your pastor. But, the most important is, someone who can be of help always (Physically and spiritually).
You as an individual, are you a good partner to your church, community, organization or to people around you? (Let the world have your say via the comment section) If not, you must begin to develop a good relationship henceforth.
The following are the benefits of partnership:
Partnership Is Necessary for Mission and Maturity:
Our mission from Jesus is to take the gospel to both the neighborhoods and nations, to both Jerusalem and the ends of the earth (Matt. 28:19; Acts 1:8). How could a single person do that alone? But if we organize ourselves properly, we can contribute meaningfully to work of God. Everyone in church can consistently pray and give financially to the work of God or to meet people’s challenges around us. Together, our mission can be healthier, stronger, longer, and more sustainable.
Partnership Provides Synergy:
Partnership helps enhance a church’s or individual strength and helps shore up her weaknesses. Partnership helps to maximize a church’s potential influence, providing a network through which individuals and churches can influence more broadly than they otherwise could. As partners, we must also, encourage one another.
Partnership Provides Protection:
Sometimes churches or even church members go through immensely challenging seasons. As partners in Christ, what is your responsibility in such situations?(let’s have your answer in the comment section).
As partners in Christ, we must also be an intercessor ( praying for one another always.
Some people do say, I can’t pray for my pastor because he is a spiritual man. But the truth is that as partners in Christ, we must always pray for them.
At this point, I want to appreciate God almighty and also the admin for the privilege given to me.
