The followers of Jesus were first called “Christian” in Antioch
Acts 11:26 KJV
And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
literally means, “belonging to the party of Christ” or a “follower of christ”
Jesus is our perfect examples. A genuine christian shares the same gene and character with Jesus. Any character (fornication, adultery, stealing, corruption, etc) that can’t be found In Jesus is not permitted in you.
Also, Christianity is not a religion neither a philosophy; it does not belongs to any organization. It’s the release of the life of God into human vessels. It’s the manifestation of God’s power in man.
What the 3 proofs of a genuine believer
(1). The proof of love
(2). The proof of results
(3). The proof of faith
The proof of love – There is nothing mystical about love. Simply put love as the combination of the word that we received, believe and obey.
John 14:21 KJV
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Obedience is the cardinal mark of love. The devil can preach. It’s not about preaching it; it’s about doing it. Your being a walking bible who can reel off 100 memory verses per second isn’t a proof that the word of God has gained entrance into you.
Don’t receive God’s word in your head; receive it into your heart because your heart is the good ground (There is no amount of watering that would allow the word in your head or under your pillow to produce fruits).
How can I love God?
Carry a heart for Christ – How can you say that you love someone if you don’t know His interest. God’s heartbeat is the life of the unsaved/lost. Until you allow this to become your priority on earth don’t expect to become a true believer.
John 15:16 KJV
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
There is nothing theoretical about serving God. Serving God in truth and in deed requires practical. Until you demonstrate the commandments of the scripture results are farfetched.
James 1:22-25 KJV
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. [23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: [24] For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. [25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein , he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
(2). The force of results – Christianity with nothing to show is a sign of disobedience and God is ever ready to revenge all disobedience.
2 Corinthians 10:5-6 KJV
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; [6] And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Sickness, poverty, sweat, stagnation, frustration, darkness and mountains are all in the list of disobedience.
This is the reason many – though born again christian – are still groveling in poverty. They experience the same buffetings and intimidations that the world experience from the wicked one.
Listen to this: irrespective of your age, title, position and the numbers of years that you have spent in church if you don’t start taking responsibilities you will die as liabilities and God won’t come for your rescue.
Collect the blessings from your ‘parents’ by being responsible!
The force of faith – faith is what distinguishes between a winning and losing Christian.
If you love God you will trust Him. When God saw this dogged determination in these three Hebrew guys His heartbeat was like “I must save my children” Nothing works without faith.
Hebrews 11:6 KJV
But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Simply put faith as seeing the invincible and believing the impossible.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Move with the cloud, everybody is moving. Give up the impossibility syndrome.

But Jesus beheld them , and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
