How to Praise God

How to praise God

How to praise God” is written by Adeola Adedoyin

We were able to discover in our last teaching the value in praise and the wonders in praise.

It is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord(psalms 92:1) one of the wonders of praise is that it ushers you into the presence of the lord(psalm 100:4). in the presence of God, the there is fullness of joy(psalm16:11). It is impossible to be in the presence of God and remain the same.

I will discuss tonight three ways to praise God.

The first way to praise the Lord is by Singing and Dancing: Singing and dancing by a true child of God reflects the joy bubbling in one’s heart. No one can be truly happy and successfully hide it. It is written that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Singing and dancing can be a reflection on the mighty work of God that we have seen and heard. This attitude is not limited in scope. People of all age groups are to praise God. (Matt21:9; Hosea 2:15).

When we sing and dance in the presence of God like a baby without mindful of who is watching us, this make God to be delighted in us. And when father is delighted in His child, He shower blessing on such child.

King David knew this key, whenever he is praising God, he will sing and dance like a baby. This attitude make God to be happy and make God to call king David the man of his soul.

When we’re joyful our praise will go to our God and He will shower His blessing on us.

The second way of praising God is by Clapping And Instruments of music:

The clapping of hands and the use of instruments of music are other way a Christian can express his or her appreciation to God. Psalm41:1 says, oh clap your hand all ye people.
When it is done orderly and decently, it is pleasing unto God.

We can use various instruments of music like trimbrel, volin, organ, piano, and drum to praise God (psalm150:1-6). This attitude pleases God and it makes Him to be happy with and shower His blessings on us.

The last third way of praising God is Praising God in the Holy spirit: We re enjoined to redeem the time because the days are full of evil (Eph5:14-19).

A way of doing this is to make a melody in our heart and sing spiritual songs, this preventing the tongue from going astray. We can hand over the tongue to the Holy spirit to sing spiritual songs to the lord.

In conclusion we are enjoined to be the doer of the word not the hearer only.

Today’s teaching is a practical one which should be put into practice now and always. Sing unto the lord, dance unto him, clap your hand, use musical instruments to praise your maker. All these pleasing Him and there is a great reward for doing this.
