Most people pattern their lives after other people just because they are yet to discover themselves. Don’t try to mimic someone else. Be yourself. If you are an imitator, you gonna be broke. You can learn from others; you can be inspired by them but do not copy them.
Seek patterns from God. The pattern that your life would follow is only known by God. Your parents got no clue neither do your teachers and guardians have an idea. Most parents pattern the life of their children towards what they failed to accomplish. Don’t be a victim. Follow your course. The Holy Spirit can help you to get your pattern out of God. He is the revelator. You need him more than anything else in your life journey. Just look at Jesus, He knew when to walk secretly, openly. He asked His disciple a question, Who do men think I am? Some said you are Elijah, John the Baptist, others said Jeremiah, but Peter said you are Christ, the son of the living God. He said to Peter this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but the father (see Mathew 16:13-17). You see, you can’t even trust the good thing that people say about you. Because they are good that does not make them right. Your job can be good but may not be the right thing. Elijah is good. John the Baptist. All these people are good but Jesus is different Listen to this, until you are different, you will never be fulfilled.
Patterns are secrets. That is why nobody has a clue. People’s opinions notwithstanding, are not valid. This is why it’s dangerous to pattern your life after people’s opinions. Consult God for the real pattern.
God still shows patterns. It was God who revealed to Noah the patterns to build the ark. He showed him the length and width (see Gen 6:13-15). God has not changed. If you are His friend, He would talk to you. Righteousness is a fundamental requirement to get patterns from God. Because Job was a righteous man and the secret of God was in his terbanacle since the days of his youth (Job 29:4). The secret of God cannot be revealed to you until you become a righteous man. The secret of God is with them that fear Him (Psalm.25:14).
Don’t waste your time seeking patterns from just anybody. They don’t know what they are doing. Most people you run to for help haven’t figured out yet what they are born to do. Settle down with God and let Him reveal your life secrets.
With the help of the Holy Spirit, you can have access to the pattern of your destiny from God. You need the Holy Spirit to unveil the secrets of your destiny.
When the pattern is known (when God’s lead), you are fear free; there would be provision and peace. God’s pattern does not tense people up.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restore my soul: he leadeth me in the path of His righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; they rod and they staff they comfort me.
