Scriptural perspective about anger

Scriptural perspective

Anger breeds conflicts, fights and wars; creates an atmosphere of confusion and causes devastation.

What does the scripture says about anger?

Anger is a function of foolishness. When a wise man speaks, you will quickly identify by his word. Take for instance, Jesus was sitting among the elites teaching them in wisdom and they were all amazed. His wisdom could be easily perceived by His word.

Ecclesiastes 7:9 KJV
Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

A word can heal a wound or tear down a fellow. Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Prov.18:21).

Anger is a sin – James 1:19-20 KJV
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: [20] For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Sin ruptured the link between men and God – the destiny of men became fractured because of sin. As life is a choice, as Godliness is a choice, anger is a choice more than anything. Your agreement to a sinful act is required before its full manifestation. Anger can erodes our dignity in Christ. Daniel made a choice and he ruled with kings and same thing happened to Joseph.

A powerful force behind anger is the spirit of disobedience and to conquer the spirit of disobedience the spirit of obedience is required. One of the spirits is from above while the other came from beneath. He that is above is above all (Jn.3:31).

Ephesians 2:2 KJV
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Ezekiel 36:27 KJV
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them .

Sin instills fear while righteousness establishes confidence and boldness. Adam sinned and his first uttered statement was “I am afraid”. Many believers are ruled by fear today due to unrighteousness and disobedience.

Proverbs 28:1 KJV
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

The act of wisdom

The act or deeds of wisdom.

According to Oxford dictionary
Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom. –Coleridge.

Wisdom has been defined to be “the use of the best means for attaining the best ends. wisdom implies the union of high mental and moral excellence.

Let’s all note the word “use” wisdom is relevance when it is exercised both for our physical, financial, spiritual life… It covers every sphere of life including marital affairs.

Although the principle of how wisdom works is mysterious yet it is understood by the children of God produces evident and outstanding results when in place.

1 Corinthians 2:6-7 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Divine wisdom is way far beyond common sense or human knowledge because it produces specifically rare and amazing results.
It is important for us to note that this wisdom is made available to us both for edifying the body of Christ and to profit our lives.

1 Corinthians 12:6-8 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit.
The peculiarity of divine wisdom is that it has a source and for a person to experience it’s fullness you have to completely plug in to the source.
Who is the source?it is who because the source is alive now and forever and he is JESUS.

1 Corinthians 3:10-11 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
As long as you are connected, the manifestation of divine wisdom is inestimable.
The spirit of wisdom does not need human effort it only requires human dedication and commitment and also it is a part of the package of the holy Spirit.
