We must all know that every believer is a temple of God.
“For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” 1.Cor.3:9
In the same vein, the temple of Christ is ordained as a house of prayer. That is, you are a prayer house.
“And he said unto them, my house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.” Mat.21:13.
Prayer and fasting are neither an advice nor an admonition. Prayer and fasting are God’s commandments.
“But thou, when thou prayest.” Mat.6:6 “But thou, when thou fastest.” Mat.6:17. ‘When’ thou prayest and fastest not ‘if’. These are commandments. Again, “Pray without ceasing.” 1.Thes.5:17 “All men ought to pray and not to faint.” Lk.18:1. All men, not all pastors.
Everyone is responsible for the predicament of his/her life. God doesn’t owe you anything, you owe God obedience. If you can eat and talk that means you can pray.
Moreover, our God is a commander. “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the lord will set thee high above all nations of the earth.” Deu.28:1.
However, there is no room for negotiations in our covenant walk with God. All you need to do is just to obey. Obedience to the commandments of God is the gateway to the manifestations of all the blessings. This is not fantasy neither drama. This is unrefined (raw) mystery.

Christianity is not a religion neither a philosophy. It does not belong to any organization or religious body. It is the release of the God’s life in human vessels. It is the manifestation of God’s power in his people’s life. That is why Christianity is different from other religions.
Every Christian has a greatness potential to do beyond what Jesus, Jonas, Solomon and John the Baptist did. But this can only be possible by prayer and fasting.
“Verily, verily, I said unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; greater works than these shall he do.” Jn.14:21
“And he said unto them this kind come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.” Mark.9:29
“Greater than Jonas, is here.” Mat.12:41
“Greater than Solomon is here.” Mat.12:42.
“Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” Mat.11:11.
It is now time you move out of the box. Everybody is moving, you too have to move with the cloud. Give up the impossibility syndrome.
Hear this: It is not the fast that God answers, it is the prayer offers in the fast. Prayer is what gives value to fasting while fasting is meant to facilitate answered prayers (Mk.9:29). God has not commanded us in order to grieve us, but He has commanded us in order to bless us. Serving God is not a punishment, it is a ‘polishment’
“But, this is the will of God that we keep is commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” 1.Jn.5:3
God is not looking for who to use, He is looking for who to bless. God is not a taskmaster, He is a paymaster (Deu.28:1-3, JMS.1:25, Jos.1:8, Ex.23:25, Job.36:11, Mat.6:33).
To take God for granted is to be grounded in life. Those who will fail to take responsibility will die as a liability. Live ready! It might be too late to get ready.
